Freeflo plumbing is my very first UI/UX project and it came to be as an idea to simplify the search for a good local plumber.

Overview

Freeflo is an application built to provide local plumbers a platform to list their services and receive mobile bookings from local users.

Product Goal

The goal of this product is to provide a middleman for plumbers and those in need of services, but in a user friendly platform that provides a rating system.

User Research

  • For the research on this project, I interviewed multiple users of varying demographics about their
    personal experiences and expectations with contracted plumbers.

  • Moderated Study with five users.

  • Users wanted more visual appeal in the design and more guidance on how to proceed in the user flow. Information could be presented to them in an easier to digest fashion. This feedback was implemented in the final mock ups.

Accessibility

With the help of online tools and color theory, I used a high contrast color scheme and large text to make the design more accessible.

Project Takeaways

I’ve learned a great deal about the definition of
user-friendly design and working for the users.
Design is an ever-evolving craft, and there
is always room for growth and improvement
both as the designer and for the design.
